- Euclides (en llatí Eucleides, en grec antic Εὐκλείδης) va ser arcont epònim d'Atenes per l'any 403 aC. El seu arconat és memorable per la restauració, amb algunes modificacions, de les antigues lleis de Soló i Dracó d'Atenes. Aquestes lleis es van escriure a la stoa en alfabet jònic, que després es va fer servir a Atenes pels documents públics. Ateneu de Naucratis esmenta a un personatge amb el mateix nom que diu que va ser un gran col·leccionista de llibres, però no se sap si és la mateixa persona. (ca)
- Eukleides (altgriechisch Εὐκλείδης) wurde für das Jahr 403/402 v. Chr. zum Athener Archon eponymos gewählt. In seinem Amtsjahr wurde auf Antrag des Archinos das ionische Alphabet in Athen eingeführt. Durch die kulturelle Vormachtstellung Athens setzte sich diese Alphabetvariante in der Folge als Standard durch und verdrängte andere, epichorische Alphabete. Inschriften, die vor der Einführung des ionischen Alphabets in Athen verfasst wurden, werden als voreuklidisch bezeichnet. Doch ist mit dem Gebrauch voreuklidischer Schreibweisen noch bis rund 360 v. Chr. zu rechnen, so dass die Amtszeit des Eukleides datierungsrelevant in erster Linie für attische Inschriften in ionischem Alphabet ist, aber keinen gesicherten terminus ante quem für die sogenannten voreuklidischen Inschriften darstellt. Eukleides zou Athene na Solon een nieuwe codex hebben gegeven door het verzamelen van de wetten van Solon en de psèphismata (het wegwerken van tegenspraken en oudere bepalingen) ervan.
