It is located in Chitral District in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan beside the Chitral River, at a distance of two hours drive from Chitral town. - Der Chitral-Gol-Nationalpark liegt im Chitral-Tal in der pakistanischen Provinz Khyber Pakhtunkhwa und wurde im Jahr 1984 gegründet. Die Gesamtfläche umfasst ca. 77,5 km², womit er einer der kleineren Nationalparks des Landes ist. Der Nationalpark ist bekannt für seine Population von Astor-Schraubenziegen (Capra falconeri falconeri). Diese Unterart besitzt ein weniger eng gedrehtes Gehörn als andere Formen dieser Tierart. Ihr Bestand im Nationalpark betrug im Jahr 1970 nur noch etwas über 100 Tiere, wuchs aber mittlerweile auf 650 an. Daneben gibt es auch ein kleines Vorkommen des . Von diesen Wildschafen wurden im Jahr 1992 nur 28 Tiere im Park gezählt. Schneeleoparden leben offenbar nicht dauerhaft im Park, kommen aber als unregelmäßige Besucher vor. Wölfe meiden das Schutzgebiet, da aufgrund der Weidebeschränkungen wenige Haustiere als potentielle Beute im Park anzutreffen sind. (de)

Se encuentra ubicado en el valle de Gol y la tierra Kafir Kalash del distrito de Chitral, en la provincia de Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa de Pakistán al lado del río Chitral, a una distancia de dos horas en vehículo de la ciudad de Chitral. La palabra Gol en el idioma local significa "el valle".Este parque incluye tres valles. Varios glaciares también se encuentran en él, a través de los cuales varios manantiales hacen su camino y, finalmente, forman una corriente de 18 metros. El agua fría de esta corriente cae hacia el este en el río Chitral. El parque es rico en árboles particularmente en cedros. Este parque sirve también para dar cobijo a una gran diversidad de animales, especialmente a las Markhor, una especie en peligro de cabras salvajes. (es)
