The Wiki Loves Africa 2020 photographic competition has resulted in 16,982 images uploaded to Commons around the theme Africa on the Move! (Transport). For national prizes, please see what events were held locally in your country and see National winners here
The photo contest entries have been under review by a panel of photographic experts from around the world. The jury has identified five international winners. Congratulations to them ! Also check out the best images.

The international prizes were:

  • 1st prize: US$1000
  • 2nd prize: US$800
  • 3rd prize: US$500

Additional categories were:

  • Culturally specific or traditional representations of transport or structures that facilitate transportation : US$500
  • Prize for best quality video (audio and visual quality and storytelling will be taken into account): $500

Each winner will also receive a pack of goodies (proposed: a hat "I edit Wikipedia from Africa", a branded battery, stickers)

Le concours photo Wiki Loves Africa 2019 a permis l'ajout de 16,982 photos à Wikimedia Commons sur le thème L'Afrique en mouvement! (transport). Il y avait plusieurs prix à gagner, tant au niveau national qu'international. Pour les prix nationaux, veuillez consulter les événements organisés localement dans votre pays et la page résumant tous les gagnants nationaux.
Après étude approfondie des images téléversées, le jury a choisi 5 photos gagnantes au niveau international. Félicitations ! Vous pouvez également consulter les plus belles images.

Les prix du concours international sont :

  • 1er prix: US$1000
  • 2ème prix: US$800
  • 3ème prix: US$500

Des catégories supplémentaires sont:

  • Représentations culturelles ou traditionnelles des transports ou des structures qui facilitent le transport : US$500
  • Prix ​​de la meilleure vidéo (qualité audio et visuelle et narration seront prises en compte): $500

Chaque gagnant recevra également un pack de Goodies (proposé: une casquette "I edit Wikipedia from Africa", une batterie logotée, des stickers)

All African countries were welcome to participate to the contest. The winning country in terms of participation was, again... Nigeria with 2641 pictures ! Congratulations to the local team in Nigeria!
