The term French Caribbean refers to the overseas dependencies of France that are located in the Caribbean and their inhabitants. It refers to French Antilles (Martinique, Guadeloupe, Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin (French part)), and French Guiana. It is not a formal subdivision of the Republic, but only a geographic region.
