About the ACM Programming Systems and Languages Paper Award

The ACM Programming Systems and Languages Paper Award was presented to the author(s) of the best papers on languages and systems published in the calendar year preceding the annual ACM Conference. This award was first presented at the Spring Joint Computer Conference in April 1971, and was replaced in 1983 by the ACM Software System Award.
