Piece of Heart and Heart Countainer[]
Every games are listed on the Piece of Heart section: some of them doesn't have Piece of Heart, but only full Heart Container. I can't remember exactly which, but I think it is the first two Zelda and all of the Zelda games for the gameboy. This article might be reorganized. Jeangabin 09:12, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
- No, it's the very first one and the two DS titles.Matt (Talk) 16:53, June 11, 2010 (UTC)
- Oh yess, thanks! Jeangabin 19:37, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
Mess of an Article[]
This article is just an absolute mess. I'm not even sure which problem is the biggest. Most of the bulk of the article is just links to guides. There's very little real information about heart containers and pieces of heart in it at all. The only thing I like really is that it separates heart containers and pieces of heart into separate sections. But it's still lacking in material.Matt (Talk) 19:51, September 20, 2010 (UTC)
- Then just remove the guide links. There isn't much to say in the article that isn't already in the preliminary sections. Even the TP oddities are already described. --K2L (Interrogatory) 00:42, 21 September 2010 (EDT)
Ohhhhh, then the problem is that these sections make the index more convoluted, correct? In that case, unify them into one section; then you can specify both the game and the site's name through the link piping. For example:
- ZeldaDungeon's list of Heart Pieces for Majora's Mask.
- StrategyWiki's list of Heart Pieces for Majora's Mask.
- ZeldaDungeon's list of Heart Pieces for The Wind Waker.
- Zelda Universe's list of Heart Pieces for The Wind Waker.
- And so on. --K2L (Interrogatory) 01:16, 21 September 2010 (EDT)
Oracle games[]
Isn't it this way:
- 3 by start - 4 when starting with a secret
- 8 from bosses [same in OoA/OoS, especially not 9 in OoS]
- 0 in the overworld - 1 through sharing a secret
- 3 by heart pieces
- 14 as result - 15 with a secret & 16 with starting with a secret and through sharing a secret

- Yeah, that summary table isn't very accurate. No idea where they got the 9 from. This sounds correct, though. — Hylian King [*] 13:34, 3 August 2012 (EDT)
Split Piece of Heart into its own page[]
I think we should consider splitting the Piece of Heart section into its own page. This article looks cluttered, like it's trying to accommodate two pages with how it's currently organized (two infoboxes, galleries and so on). I know that the Pieces of Hearts are components of Heart Containers, but I believe they're distinct enough topics to stand on their own (consider the relationships between arguably equally similar topics such as Fairy and Great Fairy, Rupee and Wallet, Hyrule and Great Sea, Hookshot and Clawshot, etc.). I feel like the main reason to keep them on the same page would be because of their similarities in function, but I think it's their differences that make the page so awkward. - TonyT S C 06:54, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
- Pieces of Heart of clearly major items, and not the same as Heart Contains (although they are pieces of them). I think it makes perfect sense to give them their own page. --SnorlaxMonster 12:13, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
- Strong disagree; the two topics are too intricately linked, especially considering The Legend of Zelda, Phantom Hourglass, and Spirit Tracks. In addition, readers new to the Zelda series could be confused by where to find info on the hearts in these three games if they're only passing familiar with the correct terms. The page can certainly be reorganized, tho:
- Suggest adding tabber functionality for infobox, or reducing use of infobox for non-stat uses (the info covered in this infobox is more easily covered in the lede).
- Suggest adding "Gallery" namespace instead of end-of-page Gallery, or incorporating the images into the "# per game" table.
- Suggest trimming speculation (such as theory why TP requires 5 PoH per HC).
- Suggest axing with extreme prejudice any sentence that contains "should be noted", and all such similar patronizing language.
- Suggest separate sections on "Mechanics", covering usage and pieces per game, and "Story", covering the guides and in-universe aspect of the hearts.
- Suggest tabbed table similar to Poe table, listing locations; links to external guides could be integrated into header of this table. See this page for table style.

The page can certainly be reorganized, tho:
- I agree with Pakkun and Snorlax, the page is so cluttered I can barely make any sense of it. If I had never played a Zelda game before, I'd be more confused than before I looked at the page. I vote split. William (Talk) 06:55, 21 May 2014 (UTC)
- Agreed, splitting sounds great. Champion of Nayru (talk) 08:13, 21 May 2014 (UTC)
- I agree with KrytenKoro. There's too big of an overlap to separate the two things. Most of what can be said about Pieces of Heart can also be said of Heart Containers in LOZ, PH, and ST. Just because the current page is disorganized doesn't mean we should split it up. We could at least try to reorganize and improve it first (in the ways that KrytenKoro described) before seriously considering a split.
- @Chuck: References to guides should remain in some form. The location of Heart Pieces (and information on how to get them) is too important not to mention. It would be like describing bosses without ever mentioning how to actually beat them. The least we can do is send readers to a site where they can find the information they want. — Hylian King [*] 08:12, 22 May 2014 (UTC)
Heart Container/Piece of Heart split[]
So I saw the discussion and uh they discussed splitting the heart container, reached a consensus... and nothing happened? What's that about? I actually agree, the page is sparse and could do with more info, but the amount of info would make the page way too big... TheMorrigan (talk) 01:27, 18 June 2016 (UTC)
