- This article is about the recurring Enemies in The Legend of Zelda series. For a list of Stal enemies see Stal (Enemy Type).
Stals are recurring Enemies in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][note 1]
Characteristics[]
These skull-like enemies usually blend in with their surroundings, acting as regular skulls that can be picked up and thrown by Link. They will flash and begin pursuit if Link walks too close to them. Stals can also hide under grass, although this is an uncommon case. They will actively follow Link unless he can run away from them or destroy them with weapons such as the Sword. They appear to be the Dark World counterparts of Armos, due to their mannerisms.
A Link to the Past[]
They appear in the Dark World in A Link to the Past.
A Link Between Worlds[]
They appear in Lorule in A Link Between Worlds.

Notes
- ↑ Stals were referred to as Stahls in The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Prima Official Game Guide by Prima Games.[2] However, as this contradicts the name given in Encyclopedia, it is not considered Canon.
