Princess Zelda’s Room,(BotW)[1] also known as Zelda's Room,(SS)[2] is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series. Princess Zelda’s Room goes unnamed in Skyward Sword HD.

Features and Overview[]

Skyward Sword[]

Zelda's room in Skyward Sword is located on the second floor of Knight Academy next to Karane's room, which is separated from Zelda's by a wooden divider. It can only be accessed once Link has received the clawshots after completing the Lanayru Silent Realm. Link can use his clawshots to get inside a chimney located on the Academy roof, where he will fall into a tunnel. The tunnel contains Rupees and a view of Headmaster Gaepora in the bath, and after crawling through the tunnel, Link will fall into Zelda's room through a hole in the ceiling.

Zelda's room is decorated with pink and teal floral-themed pillows, a rug, and a tapestry that match her bedspread. On one wall hangs a portrait of her and Gaepora. Potted plants and books are seen on various shelves around the room, and there is a dresser on which can be seen more books, a basket of yarn and knitting needles, a knitted Tingle doll, an in-progress knitting project, and a painted carving of her Loftwing made by Link. Another such carving can be found on her desk, where, if Link sits in the chair there, he can access Zelda's diary.

Zelda's diary, if Link chooses to read it, says,

"Tomorrow's the big day! The Wing Ceremony! Finally, [Link] can take a big step toward becoming a knight.

I can't wait to see him promoted to full knighthood, but I'm a little worried he might have some trouble winning the race.

Lately, [Link] hasn't taken his flight training seriously. Someone needs to make sure he doesn't mess up his chance!

So I've made up my mind. Tomorrow I'll wake him up extra early and make sure he gets in some last-minute practice, whether he likes it or not. He has to win, or we won't be able to perform the closing ceremony together!" [3]

A gratitude crystal can be found in Zelda's room by the rug and pillows, and if Link opens her wardrobe he will find a piece of heart. ----

Breath of the Wild[]

Princess Zelda’s Room is the private bedroom of Princess Zelda, found on the western side of Hyrule Castle. The entrance connecting the Room to the rest of the Castle has collapsed. However, it is possible to access Princess Zelda’s Room from a consecutive series of stairs, located on a break in the road to the Sanctum. Princess Zelda’s Room is a spacious chamber which has fallen into a severe state of disrepair. Various pieces of furniture stand broken and scattered across the Room, and several loose pages of notes are littered around the desk. The stairway to the upper level of Princess Zelda’s Room has been utterly demolished, forcing Link to climb in order to reach the second floor. The upper level features very little, save for a doorway leading to a bridge that connects to Princess Zelda’s Study.

Atop the desk rests Zelda's Diary, a Book recording her inner thoughts as well as her experiences with her newly-appointed knight, Link. Though she had her Study, Princess Zelda took her research everywhere with her, including her Room.[4] The "Father and Daughter" Recovered Memory can be accessed on the bridge outside Princess Zelda’s Room. During this Memory, King Rhoam confronts Zelda and eventually forbids her from continuing her research.[5][6]

In the northwestern corner of Princess Zelda’s Room stands an opaque glass folding screen, which hides a stone Treasure Chest containing a Silver Rupee.

BotW Korok Seed Icon

A Korok can be found in a Natural Hiding Spot in Princess Zelda’s Room. Lifting the Rock will cause the Korok to appear, and it will give Link a Korok Seed.[7]
