8-Bit Hero is one of the microgames in 9-Volt's and 18-Volt's Retro Action stage in WarioWare: Touched!

Gameplay[]

Both the top and bottom screens each display a nearly identical arrangement of pixels of a zoomed-in 8-bit protagonist sprite from a certain Nintendo Entertainment System game. In terms of gameplay, the only actual difference between each difficulty level is that later ones slightly extend the width of the grid. The player has to tap the pixel on the Touch Screen that differs from the one on the Touch Screen to win. Only the second level is themed after The Legend of Zelda.

Level 1 shows a 5×3 area (15 pixels), and tapping the odd pixel reveals the sprite to be of Small Mario from Super Mario Bros., who then appears in the iconic starting area of World 1-1.

Level 2 shows a 6×4 area (24 pixels). When the odd pixel is tapped, the sprite is revealed to be of Link from The Legend of Zelda, who is shown in the Overworld, in an area with a Red Octorok and two Blue Octoroks.

Level 3 shows a 7×5 area (35 pixels). When the odd pixel is tapped, the sprite is revealed to be of Popo from Ice Climber, who is then shown in the first screen of the game.
