Steamed Fish are recurring Items in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]
Location and Uses[]
Breath of the Wild[]
Link can make Steamed Fish by Cooking any Fish with any vegetable, herb, or flower in a Cooking Pot. There are two methods to make the default version of this meal. The first way is to cook either Hyrule Bass or Sanke Carps with Hyrule Herbs, as none of these ingredients provide any status effects. Alternatively, Link can use ingredients with contradicting effects, which will cancel out. Link can heal some of his Hearts to his Life Gauge by eating these fish. They're considered a refined dish.[1]
Based on both the type of Fish used and the kind of herb, vegetable, or flower used, Link can make several different variations of Steamed Fish:
- Hearty Steamed Fish:[3] Made by using Hearty Bass, Hearty Salmons, Hearty Radishes, Big Hearty Radishes, or other hearty ingredients. When eaten, they'll heal all of Link's Hearts and grant him temporary Hearts.[3]
- Energizing Steamed Fish:[4] Made by using Staminoka Basses or other energizing ingredients. These meals will refill some of Link's Stamina Wheel when he eats them.[4]
- Enduring Steamed Fish:[5] Made by using Endura Carrots or other enduring ingredients. Link's Stamina Wheel will be completely replenished and overfilled when he consumes them.[5]
- Hasty Steamed Fish:[6] Made by using Swift Carrots, Swift Violets, or other hasty ingredients. By eating them, Link will receive a boost to his movement speed.[6]
- Spicy Steamed Fish:[7] Made by using Warm Safflinas, Sizzlefin Trouts, or other spicy ingredients. Consuming these meals will grant Link one level of Cold Resistance.[7]
- Electro Steamed Fish:[8] Made by using Electric Safflinas, Voltfin Trout, or other electric ingredients. They can be eaten to give Link one level of Shock Resistance.[8]
- Mighty Steamed Fish:[9] Made by using Mighty Thistles, Mighty Carp, Mighty Porgies, or other mighty ingredients. If Link eats them, he will receive a boost to the power of his attacks.[9]
- Tough Steamed Fish:[10] Made by using Armoranths, Fortified Pumpkins, Armored Carps, Armored Porgies, or other tough ingredients. Link's defense will be increased by eating these meals.[10]
- Sneaky Steamed Fish:[11] Made by using Blue Nightshades, Silent Princesses, Stealthfin Trouts, or other sneaky ingredients. When they're eaten, Link will receive a boost to his Stealth.[11]
- Chilly Steamed Fish:[12] Made by using Cool Safflinas, Chillfin Trout, or other chilly ingredients. Eating these fish will grant Link one level of Heat Resistance.[12]
