Not to be confused with the Ending Blow, a Hidden Skill in Twilight Princess.

The Fatal Blow is a sword technique in Skyward Sword.[1][2]

Overview[]

The Fatal Blow is one of Link's Special Sword Strikes. It is executed by shaking the Wii Remote and Nunchuk vertically while targeting a downed enemy. In Skyward Sword HD, it is performed by shaking both Joy-Cons vertically at the same time while targeting a downed enemy or, in button-only controls, quickly flicking the right stick up, down and then up again while targeting a downed enemy. If Link successfully performs a Spin Attack while training with the Practice Sword, Eagus will teach him to perform a Fatal Blow.[3]

The Fatal Blow can be executed on nearly any bipedal foe, and is used during the penultimate battle, against Ghirahim once he has fallen to a lower battle platform. It is later vital to defeating Demise, sealing him within the Master Sword.[4]
