Summary: We study the Hopf bifurcation of the travelling wave solutions of the Brusselator subject to periodic boundary condition. We get the conditions of the Hopf bifurcation theorem, extend and complete the work of J. F. G. Auchmuty and G. Nicolis [Bull. Math. Biol. 38, 325-350 (1976; Zbl 0375.92006)], provided with the results of the numerical simulation.
