Summary: The existence of solutions for a class of second order nonlinear periodic boundary value problems using the upper and lower solution method is discussed. An iterative formula is given for the calculation of approximate solutions. A monotone method is given for solving the periodic travelling wave solutions of reaction-diffusion systems.
