Koornwinder polynomials and the stationary multi-species asymmetric exclusion process with open boundaries. (English) Zbl 1355.82015
It is known that the stationary state of the ASEP (asymmetric simple exclusion process) with open boundaries is related to the Askey-Wilson polynomials. As a generalization, here one shows that multi-ASEP is related to Koornwinder polynomials.
