Horseshoelike mappings and chainability. (English) Zbl 0789.54025
West, Thelma (ed.), Continuum theory and dynamical systems. Papers of the conference/workshop on continuum theory and dynamical systems held at Lafayette, LA (USA). New York: Marcel Dekker, Inc.. Lect. Notes Pure Appl. Math. 149, 99-112 (1993).
A very special modification of the domain of the horseshoe map is considered, and some implications concerning a geometrical interpretation are examined. No indication is given whether such a type of modification is unique, if nontrivial new facts are to be expected. Due to the approach, the paper has no ‘hard’ dynamic content.
