On strong and weak ballisticity of functions. (English. Russian original) Zbl 0859.26002

Russ. Acad. Sci., Dokl., Math. 47, No. 2, 187-191 (1993); translation from Dokl. Akad. Nauk, Ross. Akad. Nauk 329, No. 2, 122-124 (1993).
In this note we introduce the concepts of strong, simple, and weak ballisticity of a continuous function for arbitrary sets [see the authors’ notion of the ballistic property in Dokl. Akad. Nauk, Ross. Akad. Nauk 323, No. 2, 199-201 (1992; Zbl 0819.93025)], define the arguments and spectra of ballisticities, construct computational formulas, and establish the asymptotic behavior of the spectra of higher-order ballisticities. We indicate also a discrete variant of the results.
