On mechanical property of constraint. (English) Zbl 0845.70009

This paper is divided into three parts: 1. The mechanical property of holonomic constraint. Here only the non-steady constraints are studied. 2. The constraint force and the property of non-holonomic constraint are studied when using the Chetaev condition. These include the constraint force in various differential equations of motion for non-holonomic systems. 3. The constraint force and the property of non-holonomic constraint are studied without the Chetaev condition.
