Fuzzy polynomial neuron-based self-organizing neural networks. (English) Zbl 1036.93039

A new category of neurofuzzy networks – self-organizing neural networks (SONN) with fuzzy polynomial neurons – is developed. The topology of two kinds of SONN architectures is presented, and a comprehensive design methodology is discussed. The analysis shows that SONN are models exhibiting higher accuracy than some other fuzzy models.
