A simply supported rectangular elastic plate subjected to loads uniformly distributed on its edges is analysed. Critical values of the loads are determined as multiple eigenvalues. Classical methods of nonlinear analysis and the Newton diagram are used and modified for a system of small parameters. First the case of no-initial deflections is considered, and then – the case where they occur.
