Summary: I describe the main techniques uesd to solve mining frequent itemset problems and give a comprehensive survey of the most influential algorithms that were proposed. The apriori algorithm was the first algorithm proposed for mining frequent itemset problems. I will present new improvments of it which solve these mining problems more efficiently.
