Stability analysis and design for a class of Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy control systems. (Chinese. English summary) Zbl 1240.93202

Summary: The stability analysis and design techniques of Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy control systems whose input variables employ two-overlapped fuzzy partition are discussed. Based on the piecewise fuzzy Lyapunov function, we propose a new sufficient condition to check the stability of T-S fuzzy control systems. This condition only needs to satisfy the condition of fuzzy Lyapunov function in each fuzzy region. Using the methods of Parallel Distributed Compensation (PDC) and Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI), we investigate the stability analysis and design of closed-loop T-S fuzzy control systems further. It is shown that the piecewise fuzzy Lyapunov approach is less conservative than those of the common Lyapunov function and the piecewise Lyapunov function. Simulation results verify the efficiency and feasibility of the proposed method.
