Summary: We point out that the assertion \({\mathcal A}[a,b] \subset {\mathcal B}[a,b]\) of J. J. Buckley and A. Yan [Fuzzy Sets Syst. 115, 393-402 (2000; Zbl 1021.46056)] is incorrect by a counterexample.
