Numerical solution of integro-differential equations for finite elastic cracked bodies. (English) Zbl 0972.74074
The authors investigate a boundary integro-differential equation which describes the elasto-dynamic problem arising in a finite cracked domain. To obtain the corresponding numerical solution, they apply boundary integral equation method for time-harmonic stress intensity factor. The double symmetric problem for a centrally cracked rectangular plate under uniform time-harmonic tension is chosen as a model problem, and its numerical solution is found.
