From Euler-Lagrange equations to canonical nonlinear connections. (English) Zbl 1164.53327
Given a special quadratic multi-time Lagrangian on 1-jet space \(J^1(T,M)\), the author constructs, via the Euler-Lagrange equations, the canonical nonlinear connection on \(J^1(T,M)\).
