Stability of cylindrical shells from reinforced materials under axial compression with allowance for peculiarities of fiber orientation in layers. (Russian, English) Zbl 1114.74463

In the paper stability of anisotropic cylindrical shells is calculated. This enables one to consider the reinforcing modes in which the directions of layer elasticity axes do not coincide with the directions of the shell coordinate axes. The results are obtained by applying equations of technical shell theory in a mixed form. Deflection and effort functions are approximated by trigonometric series.
