On the construction of variational principles. (English. Russian original) Zbl 0881.73002

J. Math. Appl. Mech. 61, No. 3, 419-425 (1997); translation from Prikl. Mat. Mekh. 61, No. 3, 432-439 (1997).
The author investigates two classes of problems of continuum mechanics modeled by system of transfer equations in the stationary case and for the problem of the seepage of an incompressible fluid in a deformable medium of complex rheology. For the above mentioned systems of equations proposed is a deduction of variational principles from variational problems equivalent to the constitutive equations.
