Selection of optimal parameters of multilayer plates at nonstationary loading. (English) Zbl 0937.74047
Summary: We investigate two approaches to optimal design of multilayer plates under impulse loading. The first approach deals with minimization of stresses in plate layers by selecting elastic properties of the fillers. The second approach is based on a two-level synthesis procedure applied to the optimal design of multilayer plates with a minimum mass. The effectiveness of these approaches is illustrated by numerical examples.
