Dynamic plastic deformation of an infinite plate. (English) Zbl 0595.73028
Summary: A solution is derived for the dynamic plastic response of an infinite plate subjected to a general axisymmetric pressure pulse which varies both with position and time and is applied to a time-varying area of the plate. An approximation formula is obtained for the final plastic deformation in terms of simple integrals of the loading.
