A modification of an algorithm used to factor matrices in LINPACK and its application. (Chinese. English summary) Zbl 0833.65020
An updated algorithm by reordering of steps of the algorithm SGEFA in LINPACK is provided. The advantage of this modification can be taken for combining the matrix factorization with selection of the basis matrix in computational mathematical programming.
