Implosion dynamics of high-density fiber plasma driven by imploding multicascade liner. (English) Zbl 1181.82061

The implosion dynamics of fusion plasma is studied by solving equations for a multicomponent \(z\)-pinch followed by the equations for the inner \(\theta\)-pinch. This includes a set of time dependent differential equations for the fiber plasma radius, plasma temperature and charged particle production rate. The authors also discuss the relevance of obtained results to stability and fusion conditions of considered plasma configurations, X-ray lasers, and ultra high magnetic fluxes.
