The exact cosmological solution to the dynamical equations for the Bianchi-IX model. (English) Zbl 0986.83009

In this perspective paper the authors study the extended phase space for the Bianchi-IX model. The wave function of the Universe is shown to satisfy a dynamical Schrödinger equation. The properties of an exact solution are studied, in particular the wave packet representing the evolving Universe, including possible implications for inflation.
