Some new analytic inequalities and their applications in guessing theory. (English) Zbl 0932.94020

From the text: The authors prove an analytic inequality having important applications to the estimation for the moments of guessing mappings which were recently introduced in the literature by J. L. Massey [IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory, Trondheim, Norwy, p. 204 (1994)] and E. Arikan [IEEE Trans. Inf. Theory 42, 99-105 (1996; Zbl 0845.94020)]. See also the authors’ paper in Kyungpook Math. J. 39, 11-17 (1999).

This reference list is based on information provided by the publisher or from digital mathematics libraries. Its items are heuristically matched to zbMATH identifiers and may contain data conversion errors. In some cases that data have been complemented/enhanced by data from zbMATH Open. This attempts to reflect the references listed in the original paper as accurately as possible without claiming completeness or a perfect matching.
