Thermo elastic-plastic transition of non-homogeneous thick walled circular cylinder under internal pressure. (English) Zbl 0909.73035

The title problem is investigated by using Seth’s transition theory. The non-homogeneity is assumed due to the variation of modulus of compression. We obtain expressions for stresses required for initial yielding and fully plastic regime. The results of combined effects of pressure and temperature are depicted graphically.
