This document gives the results of a wide study on calculus reform (1988-1998) including references to 300 studies and reports on this issue, impacts on student’s achievements and attitudes, implications at the faculty level, main projects funded by NSF, etc. For non-Americans the book may be also of interest in order to compare the American process with what happened in other cultures.
