Accurate data embedding in JPEG images for image authentication. (English) Zbl 1313.68293
In this paper a new data hiding method is proposed for JPEG-related transformations. This method focuses on a sufficiently accurate data embedding capable of reliable recovery of the embedded data by means of cryptography. First, the author presents the JPEG standard and analyzes its disadvantages. Then the method is tested and the embedded data are recovered successfully after JPEG processing. The proposed method can be used for image authentication and can be applied to surveillance equipment of the police, private security organizations, etc.
