A novel algorithm for the conception and optimization of reticulate structures. (English) Zbl 1248.65025

Summary: The objective of this article is to propose a novel algorithm for the automatic generation of reticulate structures. On the basis of this algorithm, we developed a software program for the conception and optimization of reticulate structures. This application, called OptiStruct, allows us to find among admissible reticular structures those that minimize the elastic energy of the body under the constraint of total constant volume.
