Summary: A numerical model for an unsaturated soil water flow equation is established with the generalized difference method. The existence and uniqueness of the fully discrete generalized difference solution is proved, and the error estimates of the fully discrete generalized difference solutions are analyzed. Finally, a numerical example is given.
