A Laplace type problem for regular lattices with irregular hexagonal cell. (English) Zbl 1223.60014
The authors study a generalisation of the Buffon problem for a regular lattice with irregular hexagonal cell. The probability that a randomly positioned segment of constant length intersects a side of this lattice is calculated.
