Generalization of a transformation formula found by Baillon and Bruck. (English) Zbl 1168.33308
Summary: We aim mainly at presenting a generalization of a transformation formula found by J. B. Baillon and R. E. Bruck [Lect. Notes Pure Appl. Math. 178, 51–81 (1996; Zbl 0865.47038)]. The result is derived with the help of the well-known quadratic transformation formula due to Gauss.
