Analysis of polling systems with mixed service disciplines. (English) Zbl 0708.60088
Summary: We consider a polling system with two classes of stations. One class consists of stations that receive exhaustive service when they are polled. The other class consists of stations that receive single service when they are polled. The special case of two stations with one station in each class is analyzed, and a method is proposed for the approximate analysis of systems with more than two stations.
