Some remarks on the development of mathematics in Germany in the Nazi-period. (English) Zbl 0822.01009
A not very reliable summary of several German articles [mainly by H. Mehrtens, Math. Intell. 11, No. 3, 48–60 (1989; Zbl 0683.01022) and M. Pinl] on mathematics in Nazi Germany. Some new information on the German function theorist Hans Hefer (1907–1941) is provided, using information from Karl Stein (Munich).
