Summary: In the real group decision making, due to the complexity and uncertainty of the objective world, as well as the limitation of human ability to comprehend, there exist always a lot of fuzzy information and grey information in the real decision making information system, while it is difficult for the traditional rough set and its extended models to effectively deal with. In view of this, the thought and method of grey and rough set are used to establish a multi-universes grey rough set model. In this paper, the multi-dimensional conflict distance is firstly defined, and then it is exploited to construct the multi-universes grey rough set model; what’s more, the natures of the proposed model are discussed. Finally a group decision making example is exploited to validate the effectiveness and applicability of the hybrid model. The result shows that the proposed model is the extension and generalization of the classical rough set, interval number rough set and double universes rough set.
