\(P\)-wave doubly excited states of positronium hydride. (English) Zbl 07858422

Summary: Three P-wave doubly excited autodissociating resonant states have been unveiled in positronium hydride. The investigation of these states was facilitated through the application of a projection operator method, supported by the stochastic variational method. Precise computations of the resonant positions and widths were executed using the complex coordinate rotation method, employing explicitly correlated Gaussians as basis functions. Our analysis has exposed the intrinsic structural characteristics of these profoundly excited states. The lowest P-wave doubly excited states manifest a distinctive trait, encompassing both the \(\mathrm{H}^- +\mathrm{e}^+\) and \(\mathrm{Ps}^- +\mathrm{H}^+\) configurations.
