Sharp spectral asymptotics for operators with irregular coefficients. (English) Zbl 1123.35339
Summary: In order to establish spectral asymptotics with sharp remainder estimates for operators with \(C^{1+ \sigma}\)-coefficients, we apply smooth approximations of these operators. Such mollified operators (or operators with “microscale”) are the main subject of this paper.
