Summary: According to the principle of new information priority on gray system theory, a discrete grey prediction model in which \(x^{(1)}(n)\) is taken as initial value is established. This paper also proves that the gray forecasting model and the discrete gray forecasting model are equivalence before and after the initial value is changed. Finally, an example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness and practicality of this model.
