Complex, self-dual Euclidean SU(2) gauge fields with finite real actions. (English) Zbl 0535.70019

(Authors’ summary.) A class of complex, self-dual Euclidean SU(2) gauge field configurations are obtained. The action is finite and real. In a simple scaling limit of infinite action this class reduces to the complex, static monopoles of N. S.Manton [Nucl. Phys. B 135, 319 ff (1978)]. Various special features of these solutions are discussed.
