So grateful for this mans music & what it has taught throughout the years. Sadly most of todays Pop Artists don't offer much outside of thier bubblegum sphere. I was 15 when I first heard this and for us Gen Xers that grew up during the Cold War we knew of the underlying threat of this thankfully unmanifested period of tense relations with the Soviet Union, aka Russia. Deductive reason led me to conclude that he was speaking of the creator of the atomic bomb when I first heard it. A dark and brutal look at the possible dystopia at hand. I've pinned before and will do si again for it must be heard to truly appreciate the gravity of the situation during that period of my youth.
