The One Kate Middleton Photo from This Weekend That I Can’t Stop Thinking About

They say a photo speaks a thousand words. This rang true when Duchess Sophie posed for a haunting portrait and when King Charles unveiled his fiery red painting. However, this brand-new photo of Kate Middleton caught my attention for different reasons.

Over the weekend, the Princess of Wales, 42, stepped out for Remembrance Sunday. Photographers captured several stunning photos of Princess Catherine throughout the day, but I kept coming back to one specific shot.

The gorgeous picture is a close-up of Princess Catherine, who’s looking off in the distance. It was taken during the Service of Remembrance at The Cenotaph, when the audience took a moment of silence to remember fallen servicemen and women.

The photo immediately piqued my interest because I can’t quite read her expression. Was she emotional? Or does the photo have a misleading glare due to the black-and-white contrast?

Perhaps Princess Catherine was concentrating on paying respect to those who have died in combat. Or maybe she was reflecting on how much has changed since she attended last year’s Remembrance Sunday.

After the National Service of Remembrance, the Princess of Wales appeared to lean on Duchess Sophie for support. In nearly every photo, Sophie was standing at Princess Catherine’s side and lending strength on what was a potentially stressful return to the spotlight after completing chemotherapy treatment.

Thrilled to have you back, Princess Catherine.
