D.B. Grady is an American author and writer hailing from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is known for writing the book Red Planet Noir, which won the 2010 Next Generation Indie Book Award for Science Fiction. Grady, a former paratrooper with U.S. Army Special Operations Command and a veteran of Afghanistan, also contributes political essays to The Atlantic.

Influences

D.B. Grady cites Margaret Atwood and Christopher Hitchens as two major influences on his writing.
