Evilness is back baby

How are? The Evil one has returned... Mwwwooaahaaa . Not to his evil ways. But just in spirit. Himalayan Explorer was just too cautious and meditative...The Evil One has more personality and presence! Dr. Blofeld White cat 18:29, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Moooaaaahaaahhaa! Hey I heard Shilpa got married. Didn't even know she was dating that guy. From what I read in the press she has often been single or denied relationships! Dr. Blofeld White cat 21:28, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dear shshshsh, as much as i respect your rather 'continuous' trials to keep wikipedia safe and good and whatever you may call it, but don't think you should respect other people's contributions too.as far as i know wikipedia is for everyone, and if you read the wiki rules carefully, we don't have to give references for every piece of information we provide and also i am not as 'experienced' like you or this is what i do for a major part of my time.i am slowly learning the ropes so sir/ma'am please be a little more understanding for beginners like me. also if possible please try to research for facts on the info i had given if you have spare time. when i completely know how refrence can be given properly, i will surely give it.

have a good day.  :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tallandhandsome (talkcontribs) 15:01, 3 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hehee. Hey I'm thinking of buying this with my Christmas money. What is the best Amitabh biography you know of? Dr. Blofeld White cat 13:20, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Can you recommend a good Amitabh biography? Dr. Blofeld White cat 13:37, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

OMG that's freaky! That must be the weirdest charatcer Amitabh has ever played. Why though does the subject of the film give me the impression they were inspired by Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett ? Jack (film) also deals with that sort of thing.. Dr. Blofeld White cat 13:42, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Heyy buddy! I'm terribly sorry for the late response. I'm doing fine!! How are you?? I am currently off from University until January. I desperately need a break. Can't believe that it has been nearly three months since I left Wikipedia in Septemeber... :S
Anyways, I basically used this weekend to catch up on all the movies that I missed... and boy have I missed a lot. I recently watched Wake up Sid, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, Kurbaan, Main Aurr Mrs Khanna, Paa, Dil Bole Hadippa & What's Your Raashee?. So what have you been upto these days?? What movies have you watched recently?? -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 17:02, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Why do you have little time with WP?? Are you leaving?? I did mention a lot of films but baring WUS, Kurbaan & Paa, I didn't like any of the of the other films. With all the films Bollywood has made this year, 2009 has been quite disappointing so far -- this is partly due to the multiplex-producers' strike that lasted for almost 2-3 months :( Which ones did you like?? -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 19:06, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
ARE YOU OKAY??? -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 16:28, 18 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You took the words right out of my mouth!! :) I absolutely hated MAMK; I don't know WTH Kareena was thinking when she signed the film. As for Rani, I seriously don't know what she is doing to her career. She is such a talented actress and I don't know why she is still working with Yash Raj Films. :(
And now for the awards: I think that the Filmfare Best Actor Award will most definitely go to Mr. Bachchan for Paa. Other than him, Aamir for 3 Idiots is another strong contender. Ms. Chopra & Ms. Kapoor will be vying for the Filmfare Best Actress Award though without any bias, I think that the latter will be receiving it. What do you think?? -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 23:08, 18 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Only time will tell which actors win awards next year. Shahid... remember I told you about adding "other" awards to Bollywood actors' filmographies (Star Screen, Zee Cine, IIFA, Stardust). Well, what do you think about this?? -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 23:12, 19 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
What do you mean by this "But, many of the categories mustt be moved and reordered before to avoid second formatting thereafter."?? -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 16:18, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Shahid do you know anyone that can redirect the Three Idiots page back to 3 Idiots?? -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 17:25, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Happy Christmas!

Happy Christmas Shahid! Unlike sunny Aus it is snowing here at the moment and very cold!!! Basic Instinct was on again last night and Sharon Stone is definately the sexiest living American actress I've seen on screen. She does more for me than even Jolie or Basinger! Dr. Blofeld White cat 14:14, 23 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hehe well it lit up on my watchlist. I actually tried to revert him but you beat me to it! Dr. Blofeld White cat 21:50, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You

Thank You my dear friend!! :) Shahid, I wanted to discuss with you a new change that I am thinking to make on the List of highest-grossing Bollywood films article. Instead of having two separate charts from BOI & IBOS for each section of the article, I was thinking of having one chart with all the information for each section of the article. Look below for what I am talking about. Since BOI is currently making updates for its list of highest grossing films, adjusted for inflation, and IBOS doesn't include the films released pre 1970, we should leave the inflation adjusted list the way it is. By having one chart for the films, it would reduce the length of the article as well as it make it look more tidy. There is only one official source (Box Office Mojo) for American films but we have two sources (BOI & IBOS) for Bollywood films. Since we don't know which source to use, and instead of having two separate charts for each aspect of the article, it would be best to have one unified chart.

List of highest-grossing Bollywood films in India
Rank Movie Year Studio(s) Net Gross
(according to BOI)
Net Gross
(according to IBOS)
Average Net Gross
1 Ghajini 2008 Geetha Arts Rs. 114,80,00,000 Rs. 117,48,22,756 Rs. 116,14,11,378

Everything over here is pretty straight forward. For the final chart, we will look at what BOI & IBOS have and then make an average/final net gross amount for the film. What do you say?? Does it sound like an appropriate idea?? -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 17:25, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If we were to remove the "average/final net gross" of the film, then how would we know in which order to list the films?? That is why I intended to have that section so that it would be helpful in helping us determine the order we list the films. BOI & IBOS have completely different films in their Top 30 [although there are some similarities between the two]... and this proves to be very confusing. What do you suggest we do? -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 21:43, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The chart is formatted in a sortable and will thus allow people to list the films in gross amount according to each site (just by the click of a button). Therefore, I suggested that we have an average net gross of the film, which we would use to order the film. BTW Shahid, what would happen if we were to completely remove the collections reported on IBOS and only use BOI as the official source?? I know that there are two sources for box office figures but come to think of it, in all Bollywood articles, BOI is used to report box office figures and not IBOS. Fruthermore, we are only using BOI to report sources for overseas figures then why should we include IBOS in this article?? Another point to note is that when this article was first created, the person only used BOI but somewhere down the line, the figures from IBOS were added. IMO, we should just use BOI for box office figures as it has been mentioned in several leading Indian newspapers (like TOI, Indiatimes) and this is the source that is primarily used in all Bollywood articles on Wikipedia. What do you say?? Regards -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 16:01, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
What do you think about this? -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 16:48, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
By looking at the nomination for the Star Screen Awards, who do you think will win?? ;) -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 18:32, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you and Mr. Dreamz! May 2010 be a good one for you and Bollywood on wikipedia! Dr. Blofeld White cat 12:28, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Happy 2010 Shahid!! ;) Wishing you and your family a year full of happiness and prosperity. Regards -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 19:33, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

LOL its 2010 and both Shilpa's "upcoming" films still say it is expected to be released in 2009. The Man is even titled as 2008 film! Can you sort it out? Dr. Blofeld White cat 12:00, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

YIKES! Woke up this morning and it is like being in the middle of Siberia! It is extremely rare to get HEAVY SNOW where i live on the southern coast. All the cars outside are completely covered in snow mounds!! Dr. Blofeld White cat 09:10, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sock abuse

Hi again, how's it going? User:Mrpontiac1, the egregious sock who we're familiar with is back. I've just finished tagging dozens of newly confirmed socks. I've already reverted some of the unconstructive edits. He's now up to at least 67 confirmed sock accounts and doubtless many more IPs. Could I ask you to go through his account and revert more of it since he has a conspicuous interest in, among other things, your area of expertise, Indian cinema? Thanks. Nirvana888 (talk) 01:00, 5 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

What do you think of...

having only "one" table that ranks the highest-grossing Bollywood films in India according to BOI. Then, we would have a separate section to indicate how much the film has grossed as mentioned on IBOS.

List of highest-grossing Bollywood films in India
Rank Movie Year Studio(s) Net Gross
(according to BOI)
Net Gross
(according to IBOS)
1 Ghajini 2008 Geetha Arts Rs. 114,80,00,000 Rs. 117,48,22,756

3 Om Shanti Om 2007 Red Chillies Entertainment Rs. 79,42,00,000 Rs. 69,96,01,108
4 Dhoom 2 2006 Yash Raj Films Rs. 78,86,00,000 Rs. 83,51,87,981

Inquiries

Have a listen!

Hello!! Have a listen to this. Its the album I'm currently jamming along too. This thought is the saddest and most beautiful track on the album. Let me know what you think? Everything OK? Dr. Blofeld White cat 16:31, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Urdu? What the heck! What does that have to do with Bollywood? Isn't it spoken in Pakistan and by minorites in other parts of India? I find that odd as it is the Hindi industry.... I thought you'd like that album. I'm really into jazz fusion stuff at the moment, guitarists like Neal Schon and Larry Carlton. They are so underated as guitarists and are more talented than most of the people in the charts put together... But coverage of their work and much of jazz is so poorly covered on here so I think i'll be doing a bit of work in this area. Dr. Blofeld White cat 17:25, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

to the person above me...for your information mate...Urdu and Hindi are generally regarded as two standardized registers of one language, although they are written in different scripts and draw vocabulary from separate languages. Urdu is based on Arabic / Persian loanwords; Hindi is based more on Sanskrit words - and just so you know...Urdu has A LOT to do with Bollywood...some of the greatest classics such as Mughal-E-Azam (1960), Pakeezah (1972) and Umrao Jaan (1981) were in Urdu. The word Pakeezah itself is an Urdu word. to add to that my friend....Urdu was developed in India during the Mughal Empire....it's an official language in a number of states and is not spoken by "minorities" - please get your information correct before you make such comments. last point...if they were so different, how is it that i understand spoken Hindi when in fact i'm an Urdu speaker myself? i apologise if i sound rude mate; please don't get offended, no hard feelings. thanks. New message

Shahid, as you know, I have another copy of Kapoor's article in my sandbox, and have added several new information. When I decide to add the information to Kapoor's original article, will I have to update the accessdate for all the references according to when I posted it on the Kareena Kapoor article? Or can I just leave them the way they are? -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 20:06, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks buddy for your generosity! :) I will be shortly updating Kapoor's article with information on her recent 2009 releases. When you have the time, take a look at this and tell me what you think of it. :) Regards -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 17:37, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Shahid, I remember I asked you a similar question to this when Golmaal Returns released back in 2008. As you know, when unadjusted for inflation, 3 Idiots is officially the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time. In addition to this, the film has grossed more than the inflation adjusted collection of K3G. Does this mean that 3 Idiots is officially Bebo's biggest commercial success?? -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 18:55, 22 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Shania

Hey Shahid check out American Idol. The screen clip is weird proportions but this woman is looking as gorgeous as ever huh? I love everything about her, personality and looks!! Dr. Blofeld White cat 22:31, 22 January 2010 (UTC) I must admit I don't usually watch X Factor or any of those but I have been watching it is this series. Annoyingly though the Chicago one was the only one I missed on TV so far!!! But whenever Shania is in the room she makes me feel happy!! I love it too when she cackles too in her Canadian accent! Really cute. Dr. Blofeld White cat 22:59, 22 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

See what I mean, even scientists claim Shania has the perfect face here. Does make you wonder though why these scientists have time to spend on researching women's faces when they could be doing things into cancer research and global warming!! IMDB

Hi Shshshsh. Is IMDB considered a reliable source in general? For example, can we use it as a citation for specifics about someone like Shankar (actor)? (I'm asking this in the context of the unreferenced blp deletion drive.) Thanks. --RegentsPark (sticks and stones) 03:23, 23 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. There are hundreds of articles on Bollywood cinematographers, producers, and lesser known actors that are facing deletion. I guess a reference to imdb to support a statement "has done xyz thing on abc film" would work. --RegentsPark (sticks and stones) 17:27, 23 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Nothing has been nominated yet. But, if you see the links in this discussion, all unreferenced BLPs are likely to be speedy deleted. Abecedare has made a list of unreferenced Indian BLPs here and, if you scan through the list, you'll see that lots of them are Bollywood related.--RegentsPark (sticks and stones) 18:53, 23 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

National Film Awards

Hey, long time, hope you are well.

I was looking through the National Film Award Winners and noticed there are some massive flaws in the procedure. For example, Fashion was censored and released in 2008, and Priyanka Chopra got the National Award in 2010. But the article says 2009. What's the best way to go about it?

Yeah sure, I'll start on some articles then. Universal Hero (talk) 14:09, 23 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Confused

I remember that you told me that ultimately, the inflation adjusted collections mattered the most in determining an actor's biggest commercial success. I know that 3 Idiots has grossed way more than the inflation adjusted collection of K3G (as reported on the List of highest-grossing Bollywood films); as a matter of fact, it has also grossed more than the inflation adjusted collections of Sholay. (Does this mean that it has replaced Sholay as the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time when adjusted for inflation?) BOI is still updating their site and we have no idea how the inflation adjusted list looks like. Don't you think that in the 9 years since K3G released, the film has gone on to earn a lot more than the collections of 3 Idiots?

(P.S. Have you heard about Ms. Chopra's & Ms. Ranaut's recent win at the National Film Awards?? Do you think they deserved it?? ;)) -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 22:21, 23 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks buddy!! When it comes to box office collections, I easily get confused but your explanation really helped a lot... :D IMO, there are a lot of great actors that should have been awarded the NFA for their wonderful performances; for e.g. Urmila's performance in Bhoot, Rani in Black & Karisma in Fiza/Zubeidaa. Speaking of Ms. Mukerji... it looks like she finally learnt her lesson ;) (P.S. Don't worry, I have no intention in changing the inflation adjusted list as I know that both BOI & IBOS are currently updating their sites.) -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 02:33, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Leona Lewis

Do you like Leona Lewis? When her hair is Afro like she reminds me of Noémie Lenoir. Lewis has quite a strong jaw though doesn't she, pretty girl but a little mannish? Half the time she looks like a Brazilian drag queen, do you see what I mean LOL? Dr. Blofeld White cat 19:40, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Did you not find that funny? Oh well. Have a look at the developments of the Clint Eastwood article. I've reached 1976 now.. And I cut a lot of the early sections into seperate articles too!! This is going to take months to write as I have another book too which I will usuae to probably balance the sources. Then it can be copyedited and written into one sound article. If you remember what the articles was like just a few months ago... Dr. Blofeld White cat 16:57, 29 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Only on the short lower sections because I haven't written those yet!! The paragraphs up to 1977 are substantial enough to make seperate sections valid. Remember that the whole article will be written like this and then condensed later after I've gone through with the other book source and balanced out references. Once it is completed trust me there will be no disruption of prose or anything, not in my view anyway...

What do you think of

...creating new pages for each Filmfare Award ceremony? Every award ceremony [from each year] in Hollywood has a page of its own and yet NONE of the Bollywood awards have one. Since Filmfare is the oldest and most prominent award ceremony in India, we can start off first by creating articles for the past decade and then slowly move back? I have always dreamt of having separate pages for each ceremony. I know its a lot of work but with a bit of patience and time, I think that we will be slowly able to make it happen. -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 04:28, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Do you think it is a better idea to start work on one year and after it is closed to being done then start working on another year? Or would you rather prefer us to work on different years simultaneously? -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 01:59, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey! wait a sec

Do you expect ANYONE to create a complete filmography of a singer in a single day? Why don't you try it out?

Instead of deleting the whole table, you could have added to the filmography. Look at Alka Yagnik - this article has a filmography (not a tabled one, but its there all the same). Im reverting my edit. And please, next time, add - don't subtract.

Request

Shahid, I hold both Anupam and you in high regard for your contributions to wikipedia, and therefore am disheartened seeing recent acrimony and edit-warring between the two of you (I won't attempt apportioning the blame). It reminds me of the internecine "warfare" that took place among WPIndia editors a couple of years back, which finally reached arbcom and resulted in a few editors being banned and worse, many other editors giving up and retiring from wikipedia (ask User:YellowMonkey about it). It would be very sad if the current dispute, which really is over a very minor matter, went down that path. So I would urge both of you (and other involved editors) to take a step back, reconsider if the dispute is the best use of your time and effort, and if you think it's worth pursuing, approach WP:MEDCAB or WP:MEDCOM to get help resolving the dispute. It would be undesirable for both you as individual editors and the WPIndia project, if the dispute escalated much further and resulted in blocks or topic bans. Hope you consider this request (which I am posting on Anupam's page too). Abecedare (talk) 22:17, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You are edit warring about use of Urdu script in film articles

Hello Shshshsh. I have read WP:AN3#User:Anupam reported by User:Shshshsh (Result: ) and the supporting arguments. It is clear to me that both you and User:Anupam have broken our rule against edit-warring, and you could both be blocked. To avoid this outcome, I suggest that you promise to stop adding or removing Urdu script from articles from now until 31 March. If an uninvolved admin closes the discussion about use of Urdu and announces a consensus, then this would settle the matter, and you could resume editing with regard to Urdu. This would allow the 3RR case to be closed with no action against you. The same deal applies to Anupam. Let me know what you decide. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 00:40, 1 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion at User talk:EdJohnston#I did not violate policy.
Please reconsider your position. You and Anupam are both valued contributors, and it is unfortunate if any sanctions are required. If Anupam takes the deal and you do not, it will be necessary to block you alone. Since the issue has been presented at WP:AN3, it is now my job to find a solution, and the #1 duty of that board is to stop edit wars. It should not be a surprise that admins want reverting to stop (on both sides) until the discussion finds an answer. EdJohnston (talk) 13:08, 1 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Do I understand that you are declining my offer? EdJohnston (talk) 18:16, 1 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

Hey i read all your discussion on Bollywood and i'm really surprised how much you went ahead in defending hindi script. Don't know what to say but i appreciate your efforts. --Onef9day (talk) 06:56, 1 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Result of the 3RR complaint

Please see the result of WP:AN3#User:Anupam reported by User:Shshshsh (Result: Both warned), which contains a warning to you. Though you would not voluntarily accept the standstill deal on Urdu script, you are nonetheless bound by the result of the 3RR. You are welcome to ask for an uninvolved admin to close the discussion on use of Urdu, but until that discussion is formally closed, no more reverts must occur, on either side. If reverting continues, blocks may be issued. EdJohnston (talk) 20:02, 1 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I have. SRK and Kajol still have the same chemistry from their first film Baazigar and continue to prove why they are the best pair in Bollywood. Kajol is great as always but SRK delivers an outstanding performance. Overall, it was a pretty good movie and a good departure for KJo from making films like KKHH & K3G. :) (P.S. Shahid how would you list 3 Idiots revenue? According to BOI, the film has grossed Rs. 201,38,00,000. Would you list it as Rs. 1,201 million or 2,014 million?? -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 19:04, 4 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

My misguided reversion

I apologize for my reversion of List of Rajputs with the comment about a "POV-pusher" yesterday. I was reverting a number of inappropriate edits made in the last few days by someone who is a readily identifiable POV-pusher, including an addition he made to the article's talk page, and I must have gotten seriously distracted. (That same user did make a revision to the article on February 28 that was reverted.) Thanks for catching it and taking care of it. —Largo Plazo (talk) 12:01, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Vidya Balan birth year

Are you sure about Vidya's birth year? Her official website (if it is indeed her official website) says 1982! I myself am not very sure about this, it's really confusing! How do you assume she was born in 1978, did she herself confirm it anywhere? Johannes003 (talk) 10:56, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Filmfare

Hi Shahid. Thanx for responding to the comment.

Your suggestions are good, but I think there are some clarifications required :-

  • For one thing, the Filmfare Awards are called the Idea Filmfare Awards. Idea has a lot of stress. It is an important commercial sponsor of Filmfare, and is also the primary sponsor of mobile telecast of Filmfare Awards. The Oscars do not have any such sponsors - they are directly managed by AMPAS. So here, I believe it is necesary.
  • What exactly do you mean by simple and published nominee? If there are nominees for any category, then they come under the main category. If there aren't any nominees in a category, then it comes under technical and other awards. Simple.
  • The infobox of Filmfare Awards is modelled upon that of the Oscars. I don't see any problem with utilising it. Even if there aren't any previous Filmfare Awards articles, you needn't mention that. There is no option for that in the Filmfare infobox. So, I think it is better that it stays.

Just tell me what you think.

Cheers,

Ankitbhatt (talk) 06:02, 10 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I strongly disagree with the removal of the infobox. I believe that it should exist, no matter what. The others - you have a good point. I'll change it as soon as I can, though I am having a few problems with the article 54th Idea Filmfare Awards, so it can take time.
Ankitbhatt (talk) 07:11, 10 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Putting the Idea part in the telecast part. I think the first few Filmfare articles are coming out rather nicely. However, I'm looking for a photo as logo for the Awards, just like the Oscars. I'm not getting a totally free one, and I'm finding difficulty obtaining a photo so that I can photograph it and upload it myself. If you find one, please notify me.
Ankitbhatt (talk) 07:17, 10 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
In her whole career, Bipasha has got only two nominations. That obviously deserves a mention! And about the table itself, what's the problem? The article you showed me also has the same table. In fact, I took the table from that article!!!! So...I believe it is not a waste of energy or time, and gives a nice summary for the whole awards ceremony.
Ankitbhatt (talk) 09:43, 10 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Look. don't misunderstand me. First of all, I need to write SOMETHING in the notes...if there are no firsts or records, what am I supposed to do? Second, if there are any special cases or rarities, i'm gonna include them. u can do the same, if u wish.
Ankitbhatt (talk) 10:02, 10 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
U obtained the full list? the FULL LIST? that's great! Can you tell me whether the full nominees list for 54th Filmfare Awards is also given in ur source? As for the nomination records...hmm..yeah...I think we can first complete the nominations list, and then write the records. Though we can leave the records for now.
Cheers!
Ankitbhatt (talk) 10:27, 10 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Didn't u get the nominees list from some website? I think u need references for that.
Ankitbhatt (talk) 10:38, 10 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanx a lot man!! I'm gonna do the same! Gr8 work! Let's do it!!!!
Ankitbhatt (talk) 10:42, 10 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi there! Why did you remove the nominations from the Critic's awards? They r not incorrect - on the contrary, they are absolutely correct, as I saw the actual Filmfare awards and put them up. Plz revert ur edit.
Ankitbhatt (talk) 09:37, 11 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah...I saw the awards later and I didnt see any nominations...wonder what I saw wrong...anyways, thanx! How is the work on 55th Filmfare Awards going on?
Ankitbhatt (talk) 04:59, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re

I don't know why but a lot of people accuse us of being the same person. It is probably due to the similarity in our editing. Anyways buddy, so what's new? Did you watch the 55th Filmfare Awards? The winners of the 82nd Academy Awards were of no surprise to me but I was definitely surprised to see The Hurt Locker winning the Best Picture over Avatar. I haven't seen the former yet, so I cannot comment on it. However, I have heard a lot of good stuffs from the people who have already seen it. Bridges, Waltz and Mo'Nique completely deserved the awards... but IMO I don't think Sandra Bullock deserved it. They should've given it to anyone else but why Ms. Bullock? What did you think about it.
BTW, Shahid I have another question. How would you list the box office revenue of 3I? According to BOI, the film has grossed Rs. 201,38,00,000. Would you list it as Rs. 1,201 million or 2,014 million?? -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 02:09, 13 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello!!

Hello Shahid! How good to hear from you. Yes I'm staying as Blofeld now. If a few people don't like me or why work who cares? Yes as you can see I've done a bit of work on Bollywood. I started a few of Dixit's films today like Swati (film) and a few others. We are lacking a lot of 80s Bollywood films it seems as this was the bad phase I understand! I did want to expand the Chopra article today but the reason why the coverage of her 2005 films for instance is poor is because there doesn't seem much to say! Hey I was thinking of nominating the Deol article for GA. What do you think? Although some ip keeps vandalising it see the history.. Dr. Blofeld White cat 20:53, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey! Ever heard of Jill Hennessy? Extremely hot. Check out this. She looks like Catherine Zeta's twin! And here looks like Shania's twin here. She like a cross between Zeta and Shania AND she plays guitar and rides motorbikes and is a whole lot of fun. Wow! She's really cool. But you have to see her on screen to see what I mean about the sexiness. Oh I'm being spoiled. Last night I watched The Specialist with Sharon Stone, tonight Exit Wounds... Stone and Hennessy are definately amongst the hottest women I've ever come across on screen. I must admit I have a thing for 80s/90s Hollywood action films... You would love it. All the great ballads played on rock guitar. I'll try to find you a CD clip. It has Mariah Carey, Celion Dion etc also on it but it sounds beautfiful played on guitar. Dr. Blofeld White cat 16:12, 28 March 2010 (UTC) Only Avatar. I had to go see what the hype was about. The local cinema sadly shut down in my town about a year and a half ago so I don't get to the cinema much these days. I have to go into Cardiff across the city to go the UCI complex.. How about you? Dr. Blofeld White cat 17:22, 28 March 2010 (UTC) What was the The Hurt Locker like? Dr. Blofeld White cat 18:15, 28 March 2010 (UTC) I was surprised actually that Avatar didn't win best film. Did you see Invictus? Good film but not as good as I'd anticipated. The Deol article is currently awaiting GA review BTW. Dr. Blofeld White cat 13:13, 30 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah totally surprised about Bullock. I've always found her really cute, not hot as such but just a lovely person, attractive with a wonderful goofy personality but I had not thought her Oscar worthy. I did not see her performance so I couldn't say but it seems funny that she won both an Oscar and a Razzer. I think she probably deserves it though after all her years of hard work in films. Before the release of Invictus I had actually thought that it was the sort of film to win major Academy Awards, like Morgan Freeman best actor. In my view he is one of the best living actors if not the best, De Niro and Al Pacino are up there too. Funny but Jeff Bridges was always a better actor than Eastwood. In fact when they starred together in Thunderbolt and Lightfoot Eastwood though his performance was Oscar worthy but it was shunned for Oscar nominations in favor of his costar Bridges! But in terms of living legendary status Eastwood as both an actor and especially as a director he tops Hollywood in my view. Dr. Blofeld White cat 17:14, 30 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I saw your comments about the matter of combined tables. My response is:-

  • First, a combined table will list the figures of both BOI and IBOS, and also their average. I will not eliminate either one from the combined table. In this way, viewers can see both BOI and IBOS figures. It will be stated in the article that we are ranking the films according to their average, and not by individual sources. So, I believe confusion can be removed and the article will look considerably better. I can understand what you are trying to say. But, the fact is, since Indian films do not have a specific source for BO collections (unlike Hollywood films), it will be much better if we take only one table, so as to put the list more on par with the List of highest-grossing films.
  • Secondly, whether you want to believe it or not, it is a well-known fact that IBOS is "anti-khan". I am not speculating. It is visible by seeing the net collections of SRK, Aamir and Salman - all of their films have under-reported figures. Compared to that, films like Kambakkht Ishq, which was a below-average performer in India and netted about 35-40 crores, is claimed to have netted 56 crores in India by IBOS. This is plain nonsense and a blatant lie. This anti-khan attitude itself makes the idea of a combined table appealing and necessary.

So please, think about this issue a little more.

Urdu script can't be removed until consensus is reached

Hello Shshshsh. This removal of Urdu script seems to be contrary to a prior agreement. If you have recently obtained consensus to continue removing Urdu script from film articles, can you please point to where such consensus was obtained? If not, please undo any removals until such time this has been decided. I became aware of this because a user notified me at User:EdJohnston#Hello. My prior notice to you was at User talk:Shshshsh#Result of the 3RR complaint. It was briefly proposed that the restriction would expire on 31 March, but the actual closure of the 3RR report does not mention March 31. The restriction on removing or adding Urdu script continues *indefinitely* until a consensus has been reached at some appropriate place. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 18:13, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

Hey buddy... I have come to ask a small favor from you. As you know, I am currently working on Kapoor's article in my sandbox for a while. However, I am yet to be finished and I am planning on adding some new information. When you have the time, could you please take a look at it and let me know what you think of it so far and/or ways that I could improve it further. I would really appreciate this. What do you think of this section? -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 17:38, 21 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hey... I completely understand what you're saying but I have one thing to say. Globus NEVER asked her to launch her own clothing line; they just signed on Kapoor to be their brand ambassador and model for their clothing. However, Kapoor's decision to launch her own clothing line was completely different and has no direct connection to this. The source completely states that since she is often regarded as a popular style icon amongst the youth, she decided to launch her own clothing line for Globus, and now she has plans of launching her own brand. Considering the fact that she is also the first Indian actress to do so also makes it an important and interesting addition to the article. This is pretty similar to what Victoria Beckham has done in her career. -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 01:03, 21 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes... and that is why I felt that this section should be included on her article. -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 16:40, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Can you help with it?) -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 16:31, 28 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
So let's say you're trying to prove this claim "she was recognized by critics for displaying greater versatility as an actress". You cannot use a source like this but a source like this? -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 17:41, 28 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
"She later explained that she enjoyed shooting for the film after the heavy role of Avantika Ahuja".[2] Do you think this is okay or should I completely remove it?? -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 18:10, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's good to make all these things clear before Kapoor's article goes through a gruelling FAC. New message

Shahid, I am currently planning to expand the "In the media" section on Kapoor's article with some new information but before that I would like to ask you for your advice. Remember when Kapoor first entered Bollywood, she was often described by the Indian media as being arrogant and was consequently labelled as a "brat" due to her outspoken nature [about her co-stars, other actors/actresses, etc] - this ultimately lead to many controversies. Do you think this would be important enough to add to the section or is it completely unnecessary? Another thing I wanted to ask you about is this. Kapoor had earlier written the foreword in Rujuta Diwekar’s first book whilst she is currently writing a chapter in Diwekar's second book, which is due for release later this year. Would you consider this notable enough to add to the article? -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 17:09, 18 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Farah Khan page edit

I can see why maybe you get frustratedd and just delete stuff :-) Bollyjeff (talk) 15:34, 25 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Plagiarism

Hi Shahid. I think the list isn't "trivial". It's an important, and referenced issue. There is a decently-sized Plagiarism sub-section on the bollywood wikipedia page. The issue has become more serious over recent years as it has caused legal action against certain film makers. Also, there are many such lists about movies, for example: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unsimulated_sex_in_film. I understand the issue is contentious but my attempt is not to deride bollywood, it is just to address the one issue within it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rolfalmao (talkcontribs) 00:13, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Do you think...

this is true?? ;) -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 17:33, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Have you seen Kites yet? -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 02:01, 31 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes... but overall I was quite disappointed. -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 16:44, 1 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

IIFA

whatever happened to the discussion that is supposed to take place? If yourself don't bother to post your opinion (which is why a discussion was needed in the first place), I don't see how people will even know what the issue is about. I believe that you are a far more experienced Wiki User. May be you should take the lead. I have to say since i'm pretty new to this, I have no idea of how long it takes for a discussion to start. Bollywood

Aloha Shahid. Two things. I've remade a side template for Indian films but only for the specific industry. See Bollywood films of 1950. I think it now looks better. Second, please comment at WP:FIlms talk page. I've proposed new parameters for the infbox film. "Extremely important" was a bit of an exaggeraition but choreographer. playback singers and art director are more important in Bollywood than other industries are they not? Would you support a Template:Infobox Indian film maybe with specific requirements as I've suggested? Oh also, you didn't tell me what you thought of Odette Yustman. Check out this I made.17:14, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

Hey buddy, I need to ask you something. Remember I told you before that after her role as "Poo" in K3G, Kapoor went on to play similar type of character in her films from 2002-03, which further established her on-screen as well as her off-screen image. Over here, she describes her role in Chameli as an attempt to change her on-screen image. Her portrayal in the film helped her establish a new on-screen image as an actress. Do you think this would be a good thing to add to the article or do you find it quite unnecessary? If I do add that, would I have to change the last paragraph in the "Debut and breakthrough (2000–03)" section or would it be okay the way it is? -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 06:05, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If its important then add it! Dr. Blofeld White cat 09:49, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Shahid I'll do one for Bollywood if you want it. If you could give me a list of say 50 actors you think should be included would you accept that to appear in the article? I know you said about it being POV if we have just a few like Amitabh and Rai for instance but if we have like all of the major Bollywood actors would this seem fairer to you. If you would accept a similar one for Bollywood in the article then I'll do it. The problem is that for many of the older actors we don't have free images... Dr. Blofeld White cat 09:52, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Like Nargis for instance. It should be possible to do a "modern Bollywood" montage though. If only old Bollywood images were public domain... Dr. Blofeld White cat 10:02, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

OMG I think I'm in love with Ana Vidović. Shahid watch this. She is one of the best guitarists I've ever heard in my life not to mention beautiful, and that's saying something!! Dr. Blofeld White cat 11:10, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Haha LOL. Well... But this girl.... Have a look at this. Hasn't she got the most beautiful lips and skin!! She's amazing! Dr. Blofeld White cat 14:24, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sick of ip vandals. I just noticed that an ip completely changed the plot see here and the article hit the main page of wikipedia as a DYK with the different plot. Dr. Blofeld White cat 09:59, 9 June 2010 (UTC) Thanks! Well I noticed that the director article was also missing so it was a double DYK. Obviously you didn't see it on the main page! Me neither! Talk:Koi..._Mil_Gaya

I added a comment in Talk:Koi... Mil Gaya about removing the "series". If you agree, I would like to do the work of purging it from everywhere on Wikipedia. Bollyjeff (talk) 18:21, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Autehticated entry of Akhlaq Ahmed and Mujeeb Aalam

My dear friend..Akhlaq Ahmed and Mujeeb Aalam are famous playback singers of Paksitan.Even Indian singer Sonu Nigam sang Akhlaq's 10 to 15 songs. These are easily available every where. So i expect a high level of responsibility from your side not to remove these names from Playback singer Wikipedia.Thanks.Dr.Mukesh111 (talk) 20:54, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
